In most of our local markets, dyed fabrics are seen to be in very high demand; they are being used for garments, household articles like bedsheets, backrests etc.

After graduation you create an NGO with your classmates specializing in dyed bed sheets.

Work Required:

Amongst the many methods of producing dyed fabrics,

•  Choose one, state the name of the method and all the necessary tools and equipment needed.       (10 marks)
• Outline the step by step procedure to produce articles using the method chosen.                            (20 marks)

5. You just finished sewing an order of 500 garments for a fashion house. After delivery you put all your workers on a one-month leave. When work resumed, they immediately began using the flat stitcher (301) and the zigzag (504) machines but realized that these machines produce much noise during sewing. The technician was called on phone and he proposed that the machines be lubricated.

• What do you think caused the noise from the machines?       (5 Marks)
• In point form, write out the procedure for lubricating this machine.         (10Marks)
