PROFESSIONAL SITUATION
CATHY–FASHION company, with fifty–five (55) employees, manufactures clothes. The. working hours in the said
company arc from 08:00 am to 5:00 pm, with two breaks of thirty (30) minutes. At CATHY–FASHION, industrial
machines arc used as production tools. The said machines are equipped with a lamp to facilitate the fitting of threads
into the needles.
ENOW is employed by CATHY–FASHION. The safety manager informs him about the working post he will occupy:
he must iron the clothes and manually move pallets of 50 batches of clothes, weighing an average of 15 kg per day.
The same safety manager warns him about the Musculo–skeletal Disorders suffered by employees in this working post
(tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, etc.).
Frequent occurrence of Musculo–Skeletal Disorders, which lead to work interruptions, thereby affecting the quality of
CATHY–FASHION’s services and products; for this reason, it is necessary for the WCHSC (Working Condition’s
Hygiene and Safety Committee) to study these work posts and propose solutions.
