LOWER SIXTH SERIES ARTS AND SCIENCE

A/L SERIES

Hello! Due to so many questions and doubts of most students who passed the Ordinary level into lowersixth they got confused on what they are to do as they enter high school.  This platform will give you a summery of the different series you can offer both arts and science. This will help you to know what  you are offering and where you belong.

ARTS (A)

The Arts series are referred to as the A and there are 5 in number A1, A2, A3, A4, A5

A1: LITERATURE, HISTORY, FRENCH

A2: HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY, ECONOMICS

A3: HISTORY, ECONOMICS, LITERATURE

A4:  ECONOMICS, GEOGRAPHY, PURE MATHEMATICS (STATISTICS OR MECHANICS)

A5: LITERATURE, HISTORY, PHILOSOPHY

SCIENCE (S)

The science series are referred to as the S and there are 8 in number S1, S2, S3, S4, S5, S6, S7, S8

S1: CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS, PURE MATHEMATICS

S2: CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS, BIOLOGY

S3: BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, PURE MATHEMATICS

S4: BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY, GEOLOGY

S5: CHEMISTRY , COMPUTER SCIENCE MATHEMATICS

S6: CHEMISTRY, PHYSICS, MATHEMATICS, FURTHER MATHEMATICS

S7: CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY, PHYSICS, MATHEMATICS

S8: CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY, PHYSICS, MATHEMATICS, FURTHER MATHEMATICS

NOTE:

  1. Other subjects can be added to this other subjects like Information Communication and technology (ICT), Computer Science, Religious studies, commerce and more.
  2. The maximum number of subjects you can offer for the G.C.E ADVANCE LEVEL IS FIVE (5)
