Calender of the 2023-2024 school year in the Republic of Cameroon

GENERAL PROVISIONS
ARTICLE 1. – (1) This decree sets the calendar for the 2023/2024 school year in the
Republic of Cameroon.
(2) In all government and private schools under the Ministry of Basic
Education and the Ministry of Secondary Education, the 2023/2024 school year shall
begin on Monday, September 4, 2023 at 7:30 a.m. and ends on Friday, July 26, 2024
at 3:30 p.m.
ARTICLE 2.- (1) During this school year, teaching/learning activities shall be
organized in face-to-face and/or distance learning.
(2) Face-to-face teaching/learning activities are those organized in
schools, colleges and high schools for learners of a homogeneous or heterogeneous
pedagogical level, depending on the case.
(3) The distance teaching/learning activities shall be conducted in
four ways, namely:
• teaching/learning activities through the internet;
• teaching/learning activities through the radio;
• teaching/learning activities through television;
