3. Cameroon Milk, a subsidiary of the global food and beverage giant, is planning to launch a new dairy product aimed at health-conscious consumers. Prior to this launch, the firm had heavily invested in marketing research to make informed decisions on the sales team to constitute and to be assured of regularity of suppliers. The product, called “FinMilk,” is a fortified milk drink designed to meet the nutritional needs of children and adults. The company must now develop an efficient and effective distribution channel strategy to ensure that FinMilk reaches a wide range of consumers across urban and rural areas in Cameroon.

From a research conducted by the brewery industry, it shows that out of 25,000,000 Cameroonians, 8.5% have ill health and just 3% are currently consuming the company’s products while 6% of the population are currently below age and cannot consume soft and energy drinks. The company uses a variety of media to communicate with target publics and channels of distribution to penetrate the market of the new product.
