TOPIC: HOLE PUNCHER
I. SETTING-UP
The drawing represented on page 3 is a hole puncher or paper puncher. It is an office tool that is used to create
holes in sheets of paper, often for the purpose of collecting the sheets in a binder or folder.
II. DESCRIPTION AND FUNCTIONNING
The operator applies a force F to the lever i, which rotates on the fulcrum 4. The rotation of the lever _1 causes the
translation of the punch 2 on the body 5. During the process the punch 4 creates the hole on the paper. After the
operator releases, spring 3 brings back the lever l to its initial position.
