Conversion Between Units of Storage

• 1 KB = 1024 bytes
• 1 MB = 1024 KB
• 1 GB = 1024 MB
• 1 TB = 1024 GB
• 1 PB = 1024 TB

Example 1: Convert 500 MB to Bytes

Step 1: 500 MB = 500 x 1024 KB = 512,000 KB.
Step 2: 512,000 KB x 1024 = 524,288,000 bytes.

Answer: 500 MB = 524,288,000 bytes.

Example 2: Convert 2 GB to Megabytes

2 GB = 2 x 1024 MB = 2048 MB.

Answer: 2 GB = 2048 MB.
