Unauthorized Access and Authentication
Unauthorized access refers to accessing someone’s data or system without permission. Authentication is the process of verifying the identity of a user or system, ensuring that only authorized users can access data or systems.
Authentication Techniques
- Passwords: use strong and unique passwords for each account.
- Biometric authentication: use fingerprint, facial recognition, or other biometric data for authentication.
- Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): use a combination of a password and another factor (e.g. a code sent to a phone) for authentication.
