QUESTION 1
SPECIFICATIONS.
FOUNDATION AND GROUND FLOOR
– The foundation is made up of footings of 1.00 xl .20x 0.3 and 20x 30 pillars, 20cm foundation wall of
66cm depth, chained at the top by a ground beam. See partial section.
– Ground beams are 20 x 30cm
– The footings lie on a 5cm thick lean concrete which lies at –1.45m
– The ground floor level is the level ±0.00 while the ground level is at –30cm
– The axial labeling and dimensioning is represented along X and Y
WALLS
– All walls are of 15cm hollow blocks
– The headroom of the first floor is 3.00m, which flushes at the top of the tie beam of 15x20cm.
– The height from ground floor to first floor is 3.20m
– The windows are glider windows of 1.30 x 1,40m and the sill height 85cm
– Toilet windows are 60cmx60cm and of sill height 1.50
– The internal doors are 90 x 2.15 while toilet doors are70 x 2.15
– All windows and doors are bridged with lintels of 15 x20.
BEAMS AND DECKING
– The beams at first floor decking are of section 15x40cm
– The decking slab is of thickness 16+4.
ROOF
– The truss is made of w‘ooden members and has parapet at the eaves as shown on appendix 2.
– The pitch of the roof is 35°
– Rafters, strutsand bracings are of 5 xl5cm boards. Rafters and strutsare spaced at 1.50m
– Purlins are 5x7.5cm plank sections spaced at 1,00m
– The roofing sheets are tole bac 40mm
