Differences between Data and Information
- Data are raw unorganized facts and figures yet to be processed while information is organized and processed data.
- Data has no meaning and value while information has meaning and value.
Forms of data
The following are the different forms of data:
- Text Data: alphabetic characters, words, sentences
- Numerical Data: numbers, statistics, measurements
- Image Data: pictures, graphics, logos
- Audio Data: sounds, music, voice recordings
- Video Data: moving images, animations, films
