Lesson 13: Assistive Technologies

Assistive technology refers to devices, software, or equipment that help people with disabilities to interact with the world.

Screen readers (e.g. JAWS, NVDA): read text aloud for visually impaired users, allowing them to interact with computers and digital devices.
Wheelchairs and mobility aids: provide mobility and independence for physically disabled users.
Hearing aids and cochlear implants: for hearing-impaired users.
